PAT Testing for Pubs and Bars
Pubs and bars across Northwest England have a diverse range of portable electrical equipment — from glass washers and coffee machines to gaming machines, till systems, and cellar cooling equipment. Regular PAT testing helps you meet your legal obligations and protect your staff and customers.
Legal Requirements for Licensed Premises
Under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, all employers must ensure that electrical equipment is maintained in a safe condition. For pubs and bars, this means regular inspection and testing of every portable appliance on the premises. Licensing authorities and fire officers may also request evidence of electrical testing during inspections.

Pubs Across Northwest England
We test pubs and bars across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire, and Merseyside. From traditional pubs in Bolton and Wigan to city centre bars in Manchester and Liverpool, we understand the unique requirements of licensed premises and can work around your opening hours.
Flexible Scheduling
We know pubs have unusual hours. We can arrange testing during mornings before you open, or on quieter days. A typical pub with 50-80 appliances can be tested in 2-3 hours with minimal disruption. You get labelled appliances, a full asset register, and a certificate for your records.
